This is a crunchy sweet sesame wafer.

Beat the butter in a medium sized bowl. Add the brown sugar and stir until combined. Beat in the egg. Add sesame seeds, flour, vanilla, and salt, stirring until mixed.
Cover cookie sheets in parchment paper and coat with non-stick spray. Drop onto parchment paper in half-teaspoon sized drops about two inches apart.
There is no substitute for the parchment paper in this recipe, and it is essential!
Bake in 350 degree oven until medium brown, about 7 minutes. They will firm up on cooling. Place sheets of parchment paper on racks and let the cookies cool.
These store up to two weeks in an airtight container.
