A Christmas twist to the Oatmeal Raisin cookie

Mix the oats, flour, baking soda, salt, cranberries, chocolate chunks, and nuts together.

Heat the butter over medium heat until clarified (the milk solid have turned golden brown). Take care not to burn.

Pour browned butter into a large mixing bowl, and whisk in the brown sugar and cinnamon. When combined, whisk in the eggs and the vanilla. Add the previously mixed dry ingredients and stir until nust combined.

Drop by rounded teaspoons about 2 inches (5 cm) apart on an ungreased cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Parchment paper is optional with this recipe, but it makes cleanup and pan juggling easier.

Bake in 350 deg F oven until light golden brown and just dry to the touch, about 10 minutes. Transfer to racks immediately to cool.

Stores up to one week in an airtight container.
